New Addition to Etsy Shop--art pendant!

I am pleased to offer this new pendant for sale in my Etsy shop!  It is a small version of my original watercolor called "Let Your Hair Down"!  I bought the supplies for this project from BuyJust5Supply on Etsy.  The pendant tray is just lovely and the glass cover gives the image a 3D effect!  I am thrilled to be able to turn some of my paintings into wearable art!

New Painting for Art Competition

I have taken a bit of a break from blogging, but I thought I would share a new painting I have been working on.  I have decided to challenge myself to enter art competitions--especially ones with a theme.  There is a competition coming up soon, and I have been working on this painting.  The gold ribbon actually shines a bit in the light.
I wasn't sure what to call it, but my daughter suggested "Metamorphic Moment".  I think I will go with that.
The challenging part about entering the competitions at the galleries is that I have to think outside of the box a little more and also appeal to emotions a bit more.  Left to my own devices, I would happily paint vases of flowers all day long!
I am also planning on entering some Charity art Events.  Last year I donated two paintings to a charity auction.  It was a  humbling experience, as my paintings sat for the longest time without a single bid.  Finally, my husband bid on one of the paintings.  That started the ball rolling, and they were both auctioned off later on that evening!  So...let me know what this painting says to you...does it appeal to emotions or create a feeling for you?
Blessings,
Molly

Back to School Shopping!

My youngest daughter will be a senior this year.  This is probably the last year I will get to go Back to School Shopping.  I love Back to School Shopping!  My daughter doesn't have much time to shop.  She is the Executive Secretary of Student Government, and she is already back at school planning the freshman orientation program.  So...her older sister and I went shopping for her.  I had so much fun!  We shopped at Target and Barnes & Nobles.  I probably spent too much.  Did I mention how much fun it was? :]
Her friends call her "Tink" for Tinkerbell, because she was Tinkerbell in the orientation skit last year.  We just happened to find this cute book cover for her!
They also had so many cute notebooks.  We got the composition style.  It seemed like a lot of teachers requested that style last year.
We found this beautiful planner at Barnes & Noble.  Hopefully the boys she sits with at lunch will not spill their drinks on it like they did last year on the first day of school !
We also got folders and a pink flash drive!  Thank goodness she was thrilled with all of our picks!  On the way home I heard on the radio that tax free week is next week--oh well--I still had fun!

The Etsy shop is up and running.  I think you have to search for the name of one of my paintings and then by clicking on the painting, you will be directed to my shop.  I have six paintings listed so far, and the names of the paintings are:  Rosie Bowl, Rose of Sharon, Spring Flowers, Cobalt Bloom, Mod Floral, and Midnight Roses.  Rosie Bowl works really well in the search, because I do not think many items meet that description.
I have been busy painting, and hoping to add 5 or 6 more paintings to my Bright Floral Collection.
I have had the most fun preparing the packaging materials and tags!  I have been working on a new painting with a Tuscan flair:
I do hope you are having a pleasant day.  Stop by my shop if you have a chance, and let me know what you think!
Blessings,  Molly
