Night Heron is Finished!

Hello!  I do hope you had a lovely weekend.  I just wanted to share the Night Heron finished painting!  I will be taking him to be scanned soon so that prints will be available in the shop.  As you can see, I have plenty of help in the studio today right at my feet!  This is his favorite place to be while I am working.  He will even wake up from a nap in some other location when he senses that I am going to work in the studio and he will make a beeline for his mat under my desk!  Blessings-Molly

My Studio

Here is a picture of my little studio.  As you can see, the room has large windows that have a tendency to collect moths at night!  My husband made the table to my specifications and it is really the perfect height.  I am having a bit of a storage issue right now as you can see the paintings against the walls.  I am trying to decide whether or not to rent a gallery space to show my larger paintings and some prints.  The gallery I belong to now hosts 8-10 themed juried shows per year.  It is really challenging to  paint something for a certain theme.  Last year was my first year and I had six paintings accepted, one in the newspaper, and two that sold!  It was a lot of work, but looking back, I am glad I challenged myself.  I will post more pictures of the studio later!  Blessings-Molly

Midnight Roses Framed

Hello!  I thought I would take a picture of a Midnight Roses print framed!  I had this print framed for an art show, and for now it is hanging in my kitchen.  This print is currently available in the Bright Floral Section of my shop.  I used professional ShinHan watercolors which are made in Korea;  I just love the clean and vivid color that can be achieved with these watercolors.  I really wish I had painted this when my children were small--I think it would make an adorable decoration in a little girl's room.  Hope you take time to smell the roses today!  Blessings-Molly

More Mothy Night Prints

 Some more prints added to the shop:  a luna moth and a dragon fly!  I have never actually seen a luna moth before--but I would really like to.  They are fascinating to me.  I think these prints would look so cute matted and framed for a child's room!  They are bright, yet very calming.

Graffiti Girl Print Added to Shop!

 Hello!  I hope you are having a lovely day!  I am excited to offer a print of my altered photography art called "Graffiti Girl".  The picture above shows the piece framed.  It was actually accepted into a juried art show a few months ago!  I do hope you will stop by the shop and take a look!  This piece would be so cute in a teen girl's living space.  Blessings-  Molly

New Prints in the Shop!

Here is a closeup of a new print that I have listed in my Etsy shop.  Stop by and take a look!  I am really excited about working on a series of botanical prints.  One of my favorite things to do is look up antique botanical prints.  It is amazing how beautiful and detailed they are.  I really find they are quite decorative when framed.  The weather has warmed up here--there is a hint of spring in the air.  I am sure we will have a few more cool days though.  Blessings-Molly
